Summary

Cucumber is the third largest vegetable crop in the world in terms of production. However, its yield is seriously threatened by Meloidogyne incognita. In this thesis, we aimed at identifying the resistance (R) genes in a cucumber wild relative and searching susceptibility (S) genes in cucumber. The candidate R and S genes identified using the two ways could be used as potential resources in cucumber resistance breeding.
