WHO WON THE CONTEST: New BSc programme Marine Sciences
Marine Sciences is the first bachelor in the Netherlands to focus specifically on the marine sciences in a broad sense. The new programme recently started. Because of the expected popularity of this programme we decided to run a contest on the question: How many registrations do you think we get for the BSc Programme Marine Sciences?
The winner is Ellen Kranenbarg-Stolte who came closest to the number of 110 (!) students subscribed, a number much higher than anticipated by most other contestants. She was awarded a fish umbrella and a garden gift voucher.
BSc Programme Marine Sciences
The new track focuses on relevant developments and challenges in the marine sector. During the broad bachelor's programme Marine Sciences, you will immerse yourself in biosciences, environmental sciences, and social sciences in order to understand the complexity of marine systems worldwide. The focus is on nature, food and society.
The Bachelor's Marine Sciences is a new programme that started the study year 2023-2024.
