Education

The investment theme stimulates students to engage with topics related to the materials transition and also aims to strengthen education and teaching in this field.

One strategy has been to support student challenges such as the Rethink Waste Challenge. In addition, we seek collaboration with the BSc honors program.
We also respond to gaps in our education programs, for example, through the development of a new introductory course on material sciences, and establishing a new cross-disciplinary course on circular textiles, fashion, and bio-based materials. We further undertake efforts to ensure that new insights, solutions, and methods become integrated in existing courses at BSc, MSc, and PhD level.

Eventually, the investment theme strives to create a structural BSc minor on the materials transition that can be followed by students from different educational programs.
